“Tangled Thoughts of Leaving’s first EP only received a 4.5 from our crew, but the Aussie band’s split release with sleepmakeswaves fared a lot better. In 2011, after teasing us with a couple of singles, the band finally released its debut album. This spectacularly adventurous album took cross-genre splicing to a new level, bursting at the seams with wild creativity. Deaden the Fields drew votes for July’s Release of the Month, ranking just one notch under - you guessed it - *shels.”
